Airware Provides Positive Snapshot of City Recovery
Airware, LLC and Montgomery Watson recently released a report to the City of New Orleans which details progress surrounding hurricane recovery. Airware and Montgomery serve as subcontractor and program manager, respectively, for the City of New Orleans Disaster Recovery Project.
According to Airware, more than $1 billion in federal funds has been or will be spent to recover hurricane battered areas. About $67 million of those funds went to the completion of 60 projects. Airware says 122 projects are currently under construction, while 929 projects are finished and more than 4,400 projects are underway.
Terry Williams, Airware owner, said he is proud of the accuracy of expenditures and charted progress.
“Compilation of the numbers at one point became very challenging, because a lot of the data didn’t exist. We had to work with architects, engineers, and city agencies to portray these numbers in real time.”
“We have the ability to adapt and work in a dynamic environment,” Williams said. “We are very ambidextrous in the industry and can facilitate projects as small as putting together financials or assisting city or other agencies that need to be reimbursed by the federal government. Working with the City of New Orleans helps us to understand what really goes into disaster recovery,” Williams said.
A full-service management consultant firm, Airware, provides Montgomery with management advisory services with services such as project cost, document preparation and financial presentations, marketing, internal controls, and ensuring that projects are within compliance of federal guide lines.
